day 2: Sanur to Seminyak

Seminyak is the chic part of Bali with many upscale stores and a lot of traffic. It’s a bit of a scene. The beach is really pretty and fun. A ton of people surfing, playing soccer, playing in the waves, relaxing. There are a lot of upscale hotels along the water and a few little food and drink shacks. We enjoyed a drink at one of them, while Daniel built sandcastles.

Daniel: in our hotel, each little villa has it’s own pool. Daddy jumped in the pool when it was raining – naked. I did the same thing. We saw many tiny crabs that bury themselves in the sand when people or animals come near them. They make a cool pattern walking around. They really don’t care, they are harmless.

day 1 : Sanur

Sanur: day 1

Sanur is a quiet beach and fishing town. It was the first resort area in bali. Our hotel was simple but beautiful. The walk along water started with fishing boats and local vacationers (meaning Indonesians on vacation, a few Australians, but no Americans). We looked exotic to them , and many wanted to take our photo with them. We responded in turn by having them pose with Daniel.

Daniel says: "We saw a gecko once. In fact 2 geckos. The breakfast was simple, just walk across the pathway. My favorite was swimming in the pool. I can go underwater, I taught myself. I also taught myself to jump in the pool underwater without anyone to catch me or help me up. "

airplane ride

The plane ride was long but smooth, and everyone in the family did incredibly well. Daniel slept a lot on the 1st flight. We all thought some of the food was funny. The transfer in Korea was easy. All in all…a very nice trip half way across the world.

Daniel says : "Long, very long. I did enjoy it. Maybe the 1st flight. Well the plane was very wiggly wobbly. The 2nd flight wasn’t very long (it was 7 hours). I liked the food, except for these crackers that tasted like seafood. I tried to get daddy to eat them, and I got him to, he thought they were gross. We all giggled."
