Carrara
The house we are at in Italy has a gorgeous view of mountains made of marble. They look incredible from far away and even more incredible close up. This is where all the Carrara marble comes from.

Cais PalafĂtico da Carrasqueira
Palafitico is the cutest little fishing village we have ever seen, and very picturesque. We met 2 adorable fishermen who I think wanted to come back to America with us and enjoyed one of our favorite meals.

Comporta, Portugal
Comporta is a relaxing beach town about an hour south of Lisbon. It has beautiful sandy beaches, a few small boutique hotels, great food, a relaxing chic vibe, and a few design stores. The area is where almost all the cork in the world comes from. There is also some great wine from this region. It was the most perfect way to begin our vacation.
The little pink stripe shack on the beach is a library ! and the RICE building is a home and clothing design shop right next to a winery...a block from the beach.

HONG KONG day 4
Today we wandered around the Central area of Hong Kong. There are loads of windy streets here with all sorts of cool shops, cafes, and antique stores. As well as the Man Mo Temple. I think this is my fav part of town so far.
The Man Mo Temple is an incense temple, a bit smoky, but really cool.
This public park has an area to massage and revive your feet. If they hurt to walk on, then they tell you something inside your body is not right and you should see a doc right away ;)
There are men doing tai chi everywhere.
and dead ducks hanging in windows.

HONG KONG day 3
Today, we explored a bit outside of the city. We took the subway to the end of the orange line, which puts you on Lantau Island. This is the home to the Big Buddah. Getting to the Big Buddah is half the fun. To get there, you take a glass bottom cable car on a 25 min ride through the mountains.
of course, lego dude came along for the adventure
and…Daniel found some furry friends along the way :)

HONG KONG day 2
Today, we took the Star Ferry to the Kowloon side of Hong Kong harbor to make our way over to the bird market.
So much to say…but so little time (cause whenever I'm not touring, I'm working). Will add text later.
this scaffolding is entirely made of bamboo. wow.
